Decorator Industries (DI) x Design Pool:
The Pillow Project – Official Guidelines

Hosted at the Independent Hotel Show Booth 442 | September 17–18, 2025 Miami Beach Convention Center

1. Eligibility

The Pillow Project (“Contest”) is open to individuals who are:

  • Attending the Independent Hotel Show Miami on September 17–18, 2025

  • At least 18 years of age or older at the time of entry

  • Legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia

The following individuals are not eligible to participate:

  • Employees, contractors, and immediate family members (defined as spouse, parent, sibling, or child) of Decorator Industries and Design Pool, their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, or any other company involved in the development or administration of this contest

  • Any individuals living in the same household as employees or contractors of the sponsoring companies

This contest is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited.

2. Agreement to Rules

By entering, you (“Contestant”) agree to be fully and unconditionally bound by these Official Rules and represent and warrant that you meet the eligibility requirements. You further agree to accept the decisions of Decorator Industries and Design Pool as final and binding in all matters relating to this Contest.

3. Contest Period

Entries will be accepted in person only at Booth 442 during the Independent Hotel Show in Miami Beach, FL, starting September 17, 2025 at 10:00 AM EST and ending on September 18, 2025 at 3:00 PM EST.

4. How to Enter

To enter the contest, you must:

  1. Visit the Decorator Industries booth (#442) at the Independent Hotel Show

  2. Choose from a selection of Design Pool fabric swatches provided at the booth

  3. Use the official contest entry card to sketch a pillow design that incorporates one of the selected fabric patterns

  4. Follow @decoratorindustries and @designpoolpatterns on Instagram.

  5. Submit your completed entry card to a team member at the booth before the deadline
     

Only one entry per person is permitted. Entries that are incomplete or do not follow the outlined guidelines may be disqualified at the sole discretion of Decorator Industries and Design Pool.

5. Prize

The winner of the Pillow Project Contest will receive the following:

​

  • One custom pillow fabricated by Decorator Industries using the winner’s submitted design and selected Design Pool fabric pattern

  • Recognition and a spotlight feature on Decorator Industries’ and Design Pool’s websites, email campaigns, and social media channels
     

No cash or other prize substitution is permitted. The prize is non-transferable. Any and all prize-related expenses, including taxes, are the sole responsibility of the winner. No substitution of the prize or transfer/assignment to others is allowed.

Acceptance of the prize constitutes permission for Decorator Industries and Design Pool to use the winner’s name, likeness, entry, and submitted materials for purposes of advertising, marketing, and trade without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.

6. Odds

The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received during the contest period.

7. Winner Selection & Notification

The winning design will be selected by a panel of judges from Decorator Industries and Design Pool based on the following criteria:

  • Creativity and originality

  • Visual appeal and execution

  • Appropriateness for hospitality use

  • Effective integration of the Design Pool pattern
     

The winner will be notified via email or phone (provided at time of submission) by October 1, 2025. If the winner cannot be contacted within 7 days, fails to meet eligibility, or does not comply with these Official Rules, the prize may be forfeited, and an alternate winner selected.

8. Rights Granted by Entrant

By submitting an entry, you grant Decorator Industries and Design Pool, and their authorized partners and affiliates, the unrestricted right to use, reproduce, display, publish, adapt, and promote your submitted design, name, likeness, and any associated materials, in any media format now known or hereafter developed, worldwide and in perpetuity, for promotional, marketing, editorial, and advertising purposes, without further notice or compensation.

By entering, you also consent to your name, headshot, photos, sketches, and/or images taken at the booth being featured across Decorator Industries’ and Design Pool’s social media, marketing, and promotional channels.

9. Terms & Conditions

Decorator Industries and Design Pool reserve the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the contest at their discretion in the event of any technical failure, fraud, or other issues beyond their control that affect the integrity of the contest. They also reserve the right to disqualify any participant who tampers with the entry process or violates the Official Rules.

Any attempt by an individual to deliberately damage or undermine the contest’s legitimate operation may be a violation of criminal and civil laws, and Decorator Industries and Design Pool reserve the right to seek damages to the fullest extent permitted by law.

10. Limitation of Liability

By participating, you agree to release and hold harmless Decorator Industries, Design Pool, and their affiliates, officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, and advertising and promotional partners from any and all claims, liability, loss, or damages arising directly or indirectly from:

  • Your participation in the contest

  • Acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize

  • Any technical or human errors in contest administration

  • Any loss or injury resulting from traveling to or participating in the contest

11. Disputes

This contest is governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any and all disputes arising under or in connection with this contest shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively in a court of competent jurisdiction located in or serving Abbotsford, Wisconsin.

Under no circumstances shall any entrant be entitled to claim punitive, incidental, or consequential damages, including attorneys’ fees. Entrants waive all rights to have damages multiplied or increased.
